The Fringe: continued

Just an extension(no pun intended) of my last post: I dug around some more and found shots of Kate Moss looking eerily similar to Bardot. Apparently, I'm the last one to catch onto this trend...again!

For David Yurman

For Longchamp with Gaspard Ulliel,
who looks more pubescent here than normal.

Fringe Element

Looking through some old issues of Vogue, I came across the beauty section of a 2007 issue (not sure what month, most likely in spring/summer) covering the YSL fall/winter runway look. What can I say? I find these almost sloppy, uneven, almost thin bangs to be the coolest thing. In fact, there something I would consider myself were I not scarred from my last experience with bangs. If I were to try it though, I would definitely seek out a skilled hairdresser. Executed the wrong way, these bangs could be disastrous.
Call me last season but I love the hair and makeup looks from YSL fall/winter 2007.
Chic, non? Obviously these particular looks were achieved with extensions but those with fine, wavy locks could easily expect the same texture. The look was apparently inspired by the bangs famously sported by Brigitte Bardot.

~ Cartilage Piercing: Oui ou Non? ~

I'm loving the look of some of the cartilage piercings I've been seeing. For some reason I've been having this pang for one and I'm not really sure where that came from exactly. I guess it's about time I considered another piercing though. The last one, my lobes, took place, I'm ashamed to say, at a claire's on the Upper West Side when I was 13. Yes, it is about time.
I have a few worries though.... What will future employers think? Will people take me seriously?? Also, if let's say, employers don't like it and I want to take it out, will it leave little holes in my ears (I have seen this with a few people and the marks are pretty obvious)? Or what could happen if it got infected?
This is probably why I never do anything that spontaneous...

I do like the look of them though. Celebs with nice-looking piercings include Sienna Miller (as always, might be developing a bit of a girl crush) and Kate Moss (although she's been over doing it lately).

American Vogue, July 2009 Cover:

It's important to point out that I only want ONE piercing. I'm slightly worried about becoming the girl who says she's only going to get one and then becomes addicted. This might take some serious self-control.

Current Obsession: Braids

How cute are some of the latest hairstyles with thin braids? I personally haven't worn any since I was about 5 but after seeing some of these looks I might just consider them again...

Especially love them with bright red, glossy lips or possibly with the berry pink shade sported by Emilie de Ravin.........adorable
And of course, from the queen of braided buns, Nicole Ritchie...

Sorry for the image overload! Just trying to be thorough and gather inspiration for as many ideas as possible.
May I also point out that normally I hate these beauty blog "Look like celebrities" things but I have to agree with them on this.
Running out to buy more bobby pins!! XXo
